Module 8: Culture, Language, and International Aspects of Usability
Overview of Module 8/Week 8 of Class
Overview of Topics
We have previously examined how individuals’ experiences affect their expectations of what constitutes a "usable" design -- or usability. Experiences and exposure, however, can vary from culture to culture. Such differences can markedly affect how individuals in other nations and cultures perceive and use materials based on their design. In this module, we will examine what such factors mean and review approaches for usability testing and design practices in international and intercultural contexts.
