Module 9: Resources for Research and Venues for Sharing Information
Sample Video for Module 9/Week 9 of Class
Webinars, or online video presentations, have become another mechanism for sharing ideas, information, and practices about usability and user experience design with others. These videos can range from a few minutes to an hour (or more) depending on the topic and objective of the related webinar. A number of usability-related webinars are coordinated and sponsored by professional organizations are are made freely available through online venues such as YouTube.
The following sample webinars (How to Mix and Match Foundational Research Frameworks and Getting into the User Experience Field) are two of a series of informational resources created by the UXPA and freely shared via its YouTube channel. While both sample webinars are quite long (Run time = 57 min, 24 sec and Run time = 54 min, 32 sec) consider watching only the first 5-10 minutes of each video gain an understanding of the pacing of such informational resources, the use of visuals and verbal/spoken information in such sessions, and the pacing with which speakers address different topics.
